Adding Color

First create a new layer in the tool box on the right 

Then change your color and select the brush and brush size you want

Then begin to color in your image.

change the options in the layer bar on the right to overlay 

Adding Text

To add text click on the 'T' in the tool bar on the left you can then deiced if you want your text horizontal, vertical or unfilled

Then click on the image and type in your text

you can also change the color of your text to fit the image

i used red text so that it stands out more from the rest of the picture, i would of normally used black for this sort of image but seeing as it is only and experiment i wanted to see clearly what i have done 

vignetting

To vignette you must first open your image into photoshop. 

You then must create a new layer in the tool bar in the bottom left

Then draw a boarder around your image using the brush tool. Make sure you use a brush with a soft edge because it looks and works better.

Then open gaussian and then move radius 

Liquify

today we look at liquifying your our images to make people look very different (a lot of fashion magazines do this to make there models look better).  to get onto this you much open your image in to photo shop then go to  'filter' in the top left and fined 'liquify'

i turned this image into the image below.

i did this by using the 'forward warp tool' to change the facile shape. i also used the 'bloat tool' and 'pucker tool' to make things bigger and smaller in size, for example i used the bloat tool to make her eyes seem much bigger

Presenting Images

Open your images into photoshop. then got to 'file' and 'new', the layout on the right will appear and allows   you to change some information, i changed it to 'international paper' and 'A4'

when the new page appears tick auto-select and show transform controls to allow you to select and crop the images also move the images on to the page and size them and merge them by highlighting the layers and clicking 'layer' then 'merge layers.

that will make all the images more together as one

My contact sheet

This is my contact sheet from todays work, that i have to pick five images from to put them together using photoshop.

How to create a contact sheet.

open 'adobe bridge'











when the program loads find the folder containing your images and open it.
 

when you find your image select them like i have on the right then click 'output'
                                               

    

              

then change the template to '4*5 Contact Sheet' and click save at the bottom of you screen and you will have the option name the file and decide where to put it on your hard drive

How to change a file name.

To change a file name you double click on the original name slowly and it that makes it possible for you to change your name. Once changed just click enter.

       

Downloading images

Today we started our assignment and was asked to go out with our camera to get a minimum of 5 images in a sequence. we then came back and uploaded our images using 'image capture' we used image capture because its a lot better than i photo and doest clog up your computers memory.

The layout above will appear on your screen and you then will be able to click the arrows on the right of 'download to' so that you can chose the file you are downloading your images to. Next you can ether click 'download some' which makes you be able to click the images you want to download or you can click 'download all' which puts all images into the chosen file, i clicked 'download all'.

after clicking 'download all' you will then see this, which is just the software showing your images being transfered to your computer and chosen file.

Assignment brief

This assignment, 'image management' is a six week assignment covering unit 34.  It will teach me many basic photoshop skill so that i can create one final image of a fantasy landscape( a fake landscape).  Meanwhile I must also research a minimum of 6 artist relating to the subject and theme.
